Hi all, Could someone possibly enlighten me as to what causes the following "spike" pattern to occur when two sources are adjoining in a segmentation map? (Left): segmentation = profitProFound(image, sigma=2.75, skycut=1.0, tolerance=4, size=21, magzero=ZERO_POINT, gain=GAIN, header=header)
(Right): segmentation = profitMakeSegimDilate(image, segmentation$segim, plot=TRUE, size= 85,expand=mainID) I wonder why the two sources should not simply divide with a straight line, as is normally the case? ~ Robin.

You can get features like that when the dilation size is set very high- it saw-tooths rather than smoothly expanding. Whether this is a big issue or not is down to the user to decide...
